MEET THE INVESTIGATORS: Jason Wilder

MEET THE TEAM
Dedication. Expertise. Passion.
Jason Wilder
FI-1 Trainee
Born and raised in Dallas, TX, Jason grew up with a deep appreciation for aviation, inspired by his father, an Air Force veteran. His commitment to service led him to enlist in the U.S. Navy, where he served for four years, followed by a distinguished career in law enforcement.

Jason served with the Memphis, TN Police Department before moving on to an impressive 20-year career with the U.S. Marshals Service. As a member of an elite team of Aviation Enforcement Officers, he was tasked with transporting some of the world’s most dangerous individuals. By the time he retired, Jason held the position of Operations Manager, overseeing training for all operational employees—a role that speaks volumes about his dedication, discipline, and leadership.

Since joining MUFON in 2023, Jason has completed his Field Investigator’s training in Phoenix, AZ, and we couldn’t be more excited to have him apply his investigative skills here in Oklahoma. His unique background in aviation, law enforcement, and elite operations will be a tremendous asset to our team as we continue our efforts to uncover the mysteries surrounding UFO phenomena.

MEET THE INVESTIGATORS" Jerald Shelton

 Jared Shelden

  • CFI-3 Advanced Field Investigator
  • CAG Team Member

Growing up in southeastern Colorado, in one of the least densely populated areas in the whole continental United States, smack dab among the 37th parallel, I had ample time and opportunity to spend many nights gazing upon an unmolested starry night sky – watching, learning, and wondering… What is out there?

It was there, among the yucca spotted plains and low rising mesas, that a lifelong passion for exploration and the unknown was born.

I now live in Edmond with my beautiful wife and sweetly rambunctious 2-year-old daughter – who I’m excited to share my new adventures with. Other things I enjoy include reading, camping, history, sci fi, deep conversation and learning new things.

Currently, I am a marketing professional with over 15 years of experience in digital marketing and project management. I’m excited to be able offer my knowledge in analytical skills, project management, and communication to the OK MUFON Network as a Field Investigator.
Knowledge gained throughout a lifetime of curiosity and professional development. What I am most excited for though, is to meet all of you and make new friends among such a wonderful community. Feel free to reach out!
